    MOTHER

    MOTHER

The four of us, your daughters
Would like for you to hear
    Things that we are feeling
    In our hearts Mother dear.

    We four join in unison
    In sending these to you
And hope you will find meaning
In our feelings which are true.

    Although only two of us
Can claim you gave us birth
The other two join with these
For we also know your worth.

We thank you for all the things
You  have done across the years
We realize your life was hard
We have see you crying tears.

We appreciate you all the more
Since we're grown and on our own
We thank you for your sacrifice
And for giving us a home.

We love you Aunt and Mother
Believe this with all your heart
    my God richly Bless you
You sure tried and did your part.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
