Most Dear to Me
The battle I have I cannot explainThe question itself is much in vain
For the loss I suffer I hold within
And with these tears, I hope to begin
Though still in flesh I feel there is more
For their ways block their eyes, perception becomes poor
I see more than they know, but they do not see me
For they have lost all that was taught by he
Their lives of lies are all they've got
So they hold on tight and tighten the knot
Their problems become mine, for love makes me see
Their lack of appreciation dwells upon me
The past is gone, they hold it dear
But the future is forgotten, that is my fear
They act so sad, but should not regret
For the past is lovely and will never be dead
The days long ago will always be cherished
I hope on day their facade will perish
We mourn together, for the loss was great
But don't you see? he's in a better place
The hurt tears through leaving marks on our souls
But the actions they've chosen will not fill those holes
I don't want the day to come too late
The day in which you regret your mistake
Your heart now lacks soul and will become tainted
So I beg you not to take what really mattes for granted
