    Moonlight Madness

    Moonlight madness,
    Hearts filled with gladness,
    Thunder crashing,
    Someone very dashing…

    These thoughts I think of,
    When I think of you.

    Pine boughs swaying,
    Someone, somewhere, praying,
    Poets improvising,
    Thoughts, so tantalizing…

    These thoughts I think of,
    When I think of you.

    Dancers, dancing;
    Nights of sweet romancing,
    Moonlight beams beaming,
    Heart strings streaming…

    These thoughts I think of,
    When I think of you.

    Tell me, my love,
Do you think of them, too?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
