Poem Commentary

This is a little poem I wrote about myself. You know how everyone says, me myself and I? well what if those were really three parts of yourself?

Me, Myself, and I.

Me, Myself and I.
Each one of us different.
We all work together,
To obtain who I am.
Me, you grasp the pencil.
Myself, strangle drumsticks,
And I'll cherish the mic.

Me, Myself and I.
We strive to spin secrets.
Poetry is quicksilver,
From our green fountain pen.
Me, you time rhymes.
Myself, generate rhythm.
And I'll scribble it down.

Me, Myself and I.
We brandish our canvas.
To synthesize visions
Of penguins at war.
Me, you acquire inspiration.
Myself, secrete scenery.
And I'll fabricate characters.

Me, Myself and I.
We love to legato.
But we act allegro
When we're dancing on drums.
Me, you shatter cymbals.
Myself, strike the snare.
And I'll beat the bass.

Me, Myself and I.
We three hog the spotlight.
Spewing a solo
Our verses entwine.
Me, you roar tenor.
Myself, croon alto.
And I'll squeal soprano.

Me, Myself and I.
We subsist coincidentally.
Harmoniously humming,
Three halves of a whole.
Me, you hatch emotion.
Myself, spawn intellect.
And I'll establish existence.
