    Maybe

    Maybe

When it rains, it definitely pours!

I want to cry, but cannot.

What’s this pain, is it yours?

Maybe it’s my heart that’s caught!

    I am hurting deep inside.

I suppose you do not see.

    My tears poured, yet dried.

Can you tell when you look at me?

I should really get used to this.

It just hurts badly to even say.

    Your comfort’s what I miss,

    Did you notice that today?

Can I get treated any worse?

Is it possible again to cry?

    Maybe I’m just a curse?

Might be better just to die?

    I’m wondering if you know,

I cannot say I cannot begin!

For my pain does it show?

Can you tell where my heart’s been?

    Maybe I really shouldn’t ask?

I should just accept my fate.

I could hide behind a mask,

May I ask? Is it too late?

    Maybe I’m just too lonely,

    Maybe I should go away?

    Will you then miss me?

If by chance I go astray.

I don't know what to say....I am much older and pain is not like this...it is harsher and meaner to look at very closely.

I wrote this for me. I was in pain & this is how I express all of my pain & heartache. I'm sorry if this is offensive to you.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
