Luxury
Tragic, saying goodbye, sitting up all night I cried
Thinking the world was so unkind to me
Then I look around and what do I see,
A little boy with nothing to eat,
A woman crying no place to sleep tonight
There's something I can't begin to see
In this world of luxury, how can there be such misery around?
I believe luxury and misery
Are side by side so close to me
Cries of greed blind by those who bleed
How can we live in such luxury?
I study the people I study the pain
To some it's a lot, to some spare change
Perhaps it's just another way of life
But the misery and the luxury
Staring right back at me, yes I feel their pain
I hope someday we'll see a world in harmony
Never a child crying at night again.
