    Love That Can Never Be

From the moment we first met
I knew my feelings for you would a mistake
Our relationship as friends would be as stong as cement
But anything more than that would just cause my heart to ache
We live so far from each other
A loving relationship would never last
It would be one heart ache right after another
Doing this would only be a blast from the past
I love you with all my heart
    I forver will
    But I cannot start
    What will never be fulfilled

as a fellow poet, we take chances and see what will be. romance lives in the heart not in the mind, and it's frightening. i just don't want you to have regrets like i have had. at least tell them. keep writing my friend.

------------Some things are better left unsaid. Nice.

Take a chance and make it last because that will be the only chance you may have. Can you live without trying?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
