You hate me for the side of town I grew up on

You hate me for the kind of clothes I like to wear

You hate me because breaking the law I leave alone

You hate me because around Women I do not swear

You hate me because I listen in school and you do not

You hate me because I keep my pants neatly up on me

You hate me because I do not drink, steal or smoke pot

You hate me for getting a diploma and/or college degree

You hate me for giving a Senior Citizen the right-away

You hate me for obeying speed laws while you drive crazy

You hate me if my Brothers and Sisters I will not betray

You hate me for being hard working while you are lazy

You hate me for asking your children to keep off my grass

You hate me for voting and speaking out against injustice

You hate me because your children failed and mine passed

You hate me for all the things I worked hard to accomplish

You hate me because I keep my home neat and my grass cut

You hate me for asking your children not to curse around me

You hate me and oftentimes you have no sincere idea for what

You hate me usually because I am being what you want to be

You hate me if I am friendly to the neighborhood cops on patrol

You hate me because instead of the local bar I go to bible study

You hate me because my children always do as they are told

You hate me because I am not your gossiping or drinking buddy

You do not hate me; you hate yourself for not trying to succeed

If we started showing more love for one other, that would be great

Adults of all Races setting positive examples is what children need

Children would stand a chance if we adults “Love Like We Hate”
