It all began one summer day,I saw your handsome face.

As each day passed the feelings grew, they changed from like to love.

As time passed on you felt the need to test the love I had,

I sailed away to distant seas to fight a senseless war,
tormented cause you were so far I felt you needed more.
I made the greatest sacrifice to leave you to another,
and so it happened I was crushed, you found another lover.

I came from far and there you were I thought that I would die;
I prayed to God, you'd need me back to have me by your side.
We talked it out and both agreed to give us one more chance,
so sad you had to continue your long hidden romance.

My world was crumbling all around, so lost at what to do;
I kept my faith and knew that GOD would help me see it through.
And sure enough just as I asked he answered all my prayers,
He took away the pain I felt and dried away my tears.

As luck would have it, I found out that I was with your child
I feared to tell you for I knew that you would just go wild
I did and boy was that a shock to even hear you say
That I had slept with someone else so Id force you to stay.

You made me go to hell and back and nearly drove me crazy
And what was worse was cause of it I lost one of my babies
That's right you know that it was you who caused this devastation
But I stood strong, packed up and left so I could find Salvation

You came the next day spitting lies and saying you were sorry
What made you think that I would really fall for the same story?
I told you clear and made you see the games that you were playing
Which I refused to suffer through and not with you I'd be staying.

Again we sat and talked it out and figured it was best
To give this thing just one more chance. Put our love through the test
I really did not want to at that point I thought why bother
But it was not about me now, my son needed his father

We did our best to work things out and you stopped all you're lying
I changed my attitude toward you 'cause I saw you were trying
I realized to make things work we had to compromise
To voice our needs and talk things out and stop the petty lies

And so it been we've made it through, and we are still together
I keep in faith that's how well stay In love in life forever.
