    Lost smile

    I lost my smile,
And I can’t seem to find it
I went to the park, where I thought I used it last
All I saw there were memories and good times from the past.
I went down by the old, swing where we once use to sit
Where you told me you loved me I was sure that was it.
My smile wasn’t there, it wasn’t to be found.
Tried so hard to remember the last time I saw it around.
Then I remembered the last time that I used it
It all came back to me
    The last time I smiled,
    It was with you

     Lewis

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
