    Life without You

I think of you with laughter echoing across the room.
You make me think of happiness.
I think of you with tears running down my cheeks.
You make me think of unhappiness.
I think of you with anger piercing through my veins.
You make me think of lies and cheats.
I think of you with dread written all over my face.
You make me think of hopelessness.
Yet, with all that I think about
And when all is still, I think my life would be no life without you.
    Isn't life funny?

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
