Life is where I am sitting Now

Life is where I am sitting Now

Ah, life is shaped from

the bits and pieces of everything

and everyone around us.

Pain, sorrows, happiness are but

reminders that we are

not alone...and that we choose

what we want to become.

I have love and compassion;

the heart beats to understand

and comprehend some more, lonnger...

I don't even bother to question

why this is so!

The heart empties its blood

to breathe life to the soul--

That heaves a sigh, easing the pain of remembering

releasing eternity.

A smile heals the face

from sorrow, from bitterness.

While silence clears and clatters the mind;

Darkness delivers light,

I embrace being as time continuum--

Today is forever present

as it unfolds into becoming

What it is, must be!

Where I am sitting now.

I love the philosophy of your poem, and being able to embrace life no matter what we go through or face. Great job.

Thanks Ms RStornes.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
