Late Night Jones

In the wee hours of the night
I'm awaken from a long hard day
Rain drops isolates me
As candle light glistens upon me
And as I roll to the side to check the time
I'm blinded by your beautiful smile
Which is outlined by mahogany
Seen through a mist of black love
It's worth a thousand and some
1:33am - I know your tired
But I just can't resist!
See I'm addicted to your velvet voice
Like a poet is to poems
And a singer is to songs
So I'm ringing your telephone.....

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
