    Poem Commentary

    Sitting outside April '09; just looking around and feeling fine.

    Karman Ghia

     A smile crossed my lips today
    Spying a glossy canary yellow Karman Ghia
    Late afternoon's gold glinting
    From sculpted steel, chrome and glass
    A work of art gliding elegantly past
    I never heard it coming though...
    That familiar tick-rattle-rumble of "the people's" auto
    Spring bird songs filled my ears
