    Karamel creme

As she walks out into the spotlight  she thinks am I sure I want to do this?
The dj calls Karamel up on stage
But she still thinks… is the money worth this shit?
So what she had a son and a daughter at home and she left them for the streets to roam
And she was searching for a better life
One that aint require her thinking thoughts about a knife
She thought of all the criticisms  her children would go through
Their mom was a ho/exotic dancer/stripper/cock sucker and that was the issue
It wasn’t like she wasn’t there as a mother
Its just that her son looked like her little  brother
10th grade and Omar thought she was cool
She was so naïve and decided to skip school
She cried in pain the day he took her virginity and the many months her period aint show she started to worry
She was 5 months along and Omar denied her kids so she was all alone
wasn’t no time left to have an abortion  4 months 2 weeks 3 days later she brought forth a generation
    So again the d.j called
But she kept dreaming and dreaming of a better life
The one where Mr. tall dark and handsome would introduce her as his wife
But she remembered it was too late for her dreams to come true
She fucked up bad 2 kids and an std now what do you do?
Shoulda listened 2 her moms she was a blessed little bitch
Called her every name in the book but she was dere when she fell in a ditch
Karamel …. Born Latoya makalya white
    Dreams she was this close
Now all that’s left is which nigga paid da most
    For a touch It’s 55 , to give u head 300 hundred and ova
Ye her plan woulda worked  if she’d just stayed sober
Well she stepped up 2 da plate and dance with all her might
Well I guess I’ll gotta be karamel tonite

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
