Just Imagine

Just Imagine

Just imagine every face with a smile, no more "nines" to polish
A place for raising a child; seeing crime abolished
No more being uncool no more gang's and violence
No more teasing in school; no more staying silent

Imagine poverty was gone and by night we learned

That, possibly this song was to strike a nerve

Imagine bad luck was just a blessing in disguise

I’m asking that cuz it’s always messing with our lives

Sustain your patience, don’t doubt your beliefs

Remain sagacious and thou shall achieve

Very nicely done. The poem has a cadence and rhytem that is infectious and carries the reader through to the conclusion.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
