    judge me on my death

Judge me on my death that's all I'm asking right now
and listen to these words that forever i shall vow
you said you love me like life should be
and i believe because you're the only one that i see
but how was that you just left me
telling others you are doing this for me...

    for me you are lying
'coz i know we can make it in many ways
you were just afraid to face the challenge of everyday
and what i have heard that it was my fault
i know i gave everything, everything i hold...

now listen to my last words
    before my last breath
    forever i shall love you
and now judge me on my death...

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
