    Journey

I have taken a journey of love and pain rolled in one it was my life but in the hands of another.
And even though we are never going to be together
He is still part of me and he will forever be imprinted in my heart for eternity
The path I now walk is not mined anymore
    I am lost to myself
He saved me but was killing me slowly with the words he wouldn’t dare speck
These are my words from my heart and there is more to come
They say that time shall heal all wounds but my wounds will never be truly healed
    I love without thinking
I gave my heart away before it healed
I will not make that mistake again
I will remember the past but I will not live in the past
I will live my life as I am meant to live happy and free

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
