     dont offer me a life time
    when all you can give is a day
    dont offer me diamonds
    they soon turn to coal

    dont make me promises
    they soon turn to lies
    dont make me love you
    you will leave soon enough

    make me no promises
    tell me no lies
    i ask for nothing
    only your smile
