    Imagine Me

Imagine me a talent beyond my given years
A Christ given manifestation only hindered by my hidden fears
A jewel no longer in the making but shining as a star
    Imagine me...
Being given the words of God for success
Being blessed with health and family and the principles for progress
Imagine me with all these tools which I abuse through my lack of humility in God's rules
    Imagine me...
Being blessed and to the one's I love most exhibiting stress
Demeaning my support for supporting at her best
Trampling my kids for being always less
Less than I'd like but typically best
Best as a standard but I'm too stressed to know best
Behind my superficial exterior lies a low self esteem
As a priest I belittle my flock to meet with my means
And to top it all off I'm clueless to any of these things
Pray for me you need no name
Imagine me, gifted and cursed, blessed and hurt
Abusing my gifts, talent and love by not displaying the principles from above
And blaming my poor responsive lack on cause and effect
    Imagine me... In your prayers
    Imagine me... Getting through
Because my family, my ministry is waiting for you
    IMAGINE ME ...

    Very Deep

All I can say is "WOW" that is deep. I like it a lot.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
