I'm not the hero
"I'm not the hero"
Binded in these chains
My heart aches with pain
Touched as a sacrifice
Hallowed be thy name
Scarred beyond repair
My friends just sit and stare
My body in a bed
Do you really care?
I'm not the hero
Not a fallen angel
I cannot take yor pain away
Right now i'm just not able
This is not a fairy tale
A childrens rhyme or fable
I'm hooked up with machines
To keep my body stable
If only i could rise
Wipe the tears from your cheek
Emotions shown with actions
There is no need to speak
You wipe the sweat, from my face
I feel your hand, it's warm embrace
Your heart held in its rightful place...
My heart fills with dread
I can see the light ahead...
But your heart is worn
My emotions torn
Return to love
Or ascend above?...
I've made my decision
Just need a shove
I can hear the beeping
Your voice is pleading
I take a deep breath
You thought i was leaving?!
I scream out your name
You kiss me so deep
I open my eyes no longer asleep
I'll be your hero once more
And return to your heart
With the knowledge embedded
Death itself, can't tear us apart
Binded in these chains
My heart aches with pain
Touched as a sacrifice
Hallowed be thy name
Scarred beyond repair
My friends just sit and stare
My body in a bed
Do you really care?
I'm not the hero
Not a fallen angel
I cannot take yor pain away
Right now i'm just not able
This is not a fairy tale
A childrens rhyme or fable
I'm hooked up with machines
To keep my body stable
If only i could rise
Wipe the tears from your cheek
Emotions shown with actions
There is no need to speak
You wipe the sweat, from my face

Your heart held in its rightful place...
My heart fills with dread
I can see the light ahead...
But your heart is worn
