    IF ONLY...

    If only I can be free
    Taking in the fresh breadth
    Of life into my lungs
    Breaking into songs
    All day long; in raptures
    of the reality of freedom.

    If only I can be free
    Smiling to the world
    Without fear of duty
    Music unfading
    All year round, soul searching
    Of the beauty of liberty

    Oh! Only to be free
    Void of the burden;
    Another man’s duty
    To watch, tend and care
    Seems insane, but real
    And my cry- if only, if only…
