I Need You
I’m strong, with you I’m resilient and without you I’m fragile
So underneath it, I need you
I’m smart, with you I’m inspired and without you I make no sense
So desperately I need you
I am beauty, with you I’m exquisite and without you I’m unsightly
So overall I need you
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
