    I love my mom

For christmas I asked for a Bear
For my BirthDay I asked for a bike
For easter I wanted my own bunny
My mom always laughed, she thought it was funny.

I began to grow and the older I got
The presents I asked for seem to cost a lot.

I use to wonder why we couldnt afford the things I wanted and truley adored.

One day my mom said that times were tough and money was tight
then I saw her hide her face as she started to cry.

Mom I said please do not cry as long as we have each other it will all be alright. She gave me a hug and began to cry again said they were tears of joy and even though I'm her daughter, she couldn't have asked for a better friend. Gosh I love my MOM

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
