I want tears to fall, but sometimes they won't come;
I want to get away from life, but my feet won't run!

Hard times come like a brand new day,
but GOD gives strength to make it along the way!

Help always seems to be so far off,
especially when it's a problem to big for me to solve!

This is when my GOD shows up and shows out,
no matter what it looks like my GOD is always helping out!

All my problems stem from me not remembering this fact,
even when I don't know it, GOD got my back!

GOD got my back, my front, and my side;
He even got places that are hid from my eye!

God your love has taught me what I needed to know,
but most importantly because you love me, I got hope!

I got hope when there's no hope for miles,
this is why on my face you often see a smile!

I got hope, real hope that comes from GOD,
I got hope for making it even when I don't have a job!

I got hope that the world will never ever understand,
I got hope for winning when they thought I was a losing man!
