    Poem Commentary

    to my worst enemy
       my cruelest critic

    I FORGIVE YOU

    I FORGIVE YOU

    for your millions
    or is it billions
    of mistakes

    for your lack of support
    when I needed it most

    too numerous to sort:
    your misguidings
    the  disappointments

    you caused me more fear
    more pain
    more sorrow
    more than any i know

    I forgive you the past
as I can not change it
    though you led me astray
    you are the last
    when all others,
    have alast, gone away

    only you and I
    on that dying day

Better to forgive and move on and chalk-up the bad experiences to lessons learned. May your next love be all that want it to be.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
