i dare
i dare not be
what she wants me to be
i dare not dream
of the perfect dream
instead i dare
to be there
when i wake up from
the nightmare
i shall open up my eyes
and find the light within
to fight not to win
but to sin
so i dare myself
in sickness or in health
for better or for worse
to be waiting
praying
sitting next to the grave
the grave
that one couldn't save
so i change my ways
i am what history makes
you are what the future
awaits
entrance
for the pearly gates
awaits
soul mates
but no two souls
are one of a kind
just blind
so i rest behind
until time
can move past
my lines
what she wants me to be
i dare not dream
of the perfect dream
instead i dare
to be there
when i wake up from
the nightmare
i shall open up my eyes
and find the light within
to fight not to win
but to sin
so i dare myself
in sickness or in health
for better or for worse
to be waiting
praying
sitting next to the grave
the grave
that one couldn't save
so i change my ways
i am what history makes
you are what the future
awaits
entrance
for the pearly gates
awaits
soul mates
but no two souls
are one of a kind
just blind
so i rest behind
until time
can move past
my lines
