    i am who i am

ok before i even get started... PLEASE KNOW. that this poem is dedicated to my little sister who has Autism... For those of you who dont know what that is. It is a Develope Menlte disorder.

    I am who i am.
Please dont try to change me.
For i am just fine the way i am.
I may be differant. And act strange.
But my heart is just like yours.

    I am who i am.
I may be easy to anger.
    But, i am easily pleased.
    I am fifteen years old.
Yet mentally only 8 or nine.

My family is all that i care about both blood and extended.
For they except me for who i am.
And not what i am not.
They will not try to change me.
But, help me prepare for them to change.

    I am who I am.
    Good natured.
    And easily befriended.
    Yet i am too trusting.

You are entering the world of my little sister,
And sometimes its like a rollar coaster.
    Happy one minute.
    Sad the next.

But, my sister is very special to me.
After all i am helping to raise her.
And i will do all that i can to make her the best.
But, believe me when i say it aint easy.

Because i said she is easily angered.
    And yet easy to control.
But, my sister is my sister.
and is very special to me.

She is both my best friend and my worst enemy.
I go to her for everything.
And she is the same with me.
Very rarely does she leave my side.

I am who i am... AND PLEASE... Dont try to fix me.
    im not broken....
I am very different from you...
    but yet the same...
God loves me just as much as he loves you....

    My sister is my tourniquit.
    She is there for everything.
    My good.
    My bad.
    And of coarse the worst.

    I am who i am....
