Poem Commentary

This is written in memory of a some what real but imaginary muse.

Honored

I think I met an angel.
I couldn't get her
from my mind.
She has no idea
her true beauty.
Never seen
her own true shine.
I was honored
with her pressence.
Proud
of the time
she spent with me.
Dizzy
in her absence,
intoxicated by her memory
I wait.
In hopes
she will  return.
I think I met an angel.
I couldn't get her
from my mind.
She has no idea
her true beauty.
Never seen
her own true shine.
I was honored
with her presence.
Proud
of the time
she spent with me.
Dizzy
in her absence,
intoxicated by her memory
I wait.
In hopes
she will  return.

nicely written....isn't it funny the mark that someone leaves on you without them even knowing it....good poem...

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
