    Home Fer Me!

The sea calls out like a bird on the wing
the spray on my face makes me just want to sing
the sound of the wind as it catches the sails
the splash of the water by some large feeding whales

The rock of the deck as the waves rise & crest
put it all together thats where I feel my best
tree huggers the woods are where they feel at home
Give me the Sea, on its waters alone

A Gull with it's cry glides on the wind
As I Sail along Forgetting All sins
Fore out here alone as the wind tips my boat
A tear comes to my Eye and a lump in my throat

When I see old friends who I'm happy to see
I wave tip my hat But off to the Sea
I got beer in the cooler & bait in the Pail
So I untie my ship & just raise the sail's

The siclence O the Sea as the winds drives me on
Gives joy to me heart Bad feel'ns be gone
Out there alone Just the old Sea & me
Is where I be in me mind where me soul is set free

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
