    Poem Commentary

This a first in an older collection of love poems I have written. Hope you enjoy.

    He Doesn't Know

He doesn't know how hard it is

To find the words to say.

    He doesn't know how much

I think of him throughout the day

He doesn't know the yearning that

I feel for just his touch.

Or how I bore my friends because

I speak of him so much.

He doesn't know my heart skips

When I'm tucked beneath his arm

Or lengths that I would go to

To protect his heart from harm.

I wonder does he see desire

    Blatant in my stare ?

Or know I touch him tenderly

To show how much I care ?

    Does he know his confidence

    Inspires me my own ?

To hold his hand within mine

Is a sense of coming home?

    Does he know its scary

    And I tend to overthink

    Our every interaction

'Cause my heart is on a brink ?

    Does he know I'm patient

And I think he's worth the wait

    In humble expectation

'Cause I know that we'll be great ?

    I hope he knows.

WOW!!! I love this poem..its so beautiful and has so much feeling to it...great job putting these feeling on paper...keep up the great work.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
