    Poem Commentary

For Patricia ANn Randolph, My grandmother. You are what it is to be a Lady.

    Gran'ma

    The life she has lead
    Seems sheltered by some,
    But strengths she has shown
In the things she has done.
    A tea party here,
    A cherry pie there,
    Has let us all know
    Just how much she cares.
    An island of calm
    Her house has become,
    Abounding with love
    For all there is some.
    For all of us kids
    She's given her best,
    If I can give back,
    Then I'm the one belssed.
