    Grandma Jones' Poem

    Another Leaf
fell from the aged tree and slept
    there in the Garden.
I followed it to the ground and wept
as it rested between the headstones.

    Sorrow, bourne on the wind
exhaled after a long drawn breath,
and tears wrung from souls And then
    washed the hearts inner depth
    with subtle Hope.

    I close my eyes
    searching with my heart.
    There deep in the garden
are those who've had to depart.
O' Eloim your Mercy and Grace are forever!
And as I listen with my heart
the wind sings with faint voicing
    of loved ones rejoicing
    After ages apart

How Merciful the Mercy of Eloim...

    A Garden Poem to
    Granny Jones

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
