Gone too Soon
I think of you often
as the rain clears for the eager sunshine;
That's when I close my eyes
and remember that you are mine;
I often think of you when the
leaves connect to the ground
announcing its life to anyone around;
I think of how my heart has been filled
by you;
the things you do;
The stars shine so I may look through
all the shame and hurt that occupy
this world, just to see you;
I often think of you when I hear the sweet sound of a baby's whine;
Then a force conquers my spirit and mind
as I relize it'll soon be my time;
For you were here with me for a while
Now I miss the pleasure of your smile;
You're to soon gone, and I'm all alone.
