You came into my life so full of laughter and love,

And touched my soul with happiness, as if blessed from above,

Together we shared our dreams, desires and our thoughts,

And shared endless nights of many heartfelt talks.

You gave me warmth and smiles and we shared some tears,

And we grew forever closer over the years.

We planned our future and laughed at each others jokes,

And sketched our perfect house with careful tender strokes.

We had a life time to dream and together we would grow old,

Then our world came crashing down the day we were told,

That cancer would come and take you away from me

And our dreams became a nightmare as we faced reality!

I watched your fight as you faced each day,

Trying hard to hide your pain away,

And as each day became harder for you to fight,

I watched you slowly slip into the light.

I prayed for God not to take you away,

But he said you were to sick and you couldn't stay,

For in Heaven is were he wanted you to be,

So you could live forever and of this sickness be free

Then he sent his Angels down on the wings of a dove.,

Told you to follow them as he wrapped you in his love,

And as you slipped away from me and into his grace

I relived our life together and felt a calm in-place

For I knew our life together, was not at an end

Just put on hold for now, until we meet again

And as you sit near Gods thrown, I know it must be

You watching down from Heaven your love surrounding me.
