    Four Minutes Outside Denver

    Four minutes outside Denver
I'm a mile high and driving fast
The only thing on my mind
Is the one I loved last

    The clock is getting blurry
    I roll the window down
Felt the cold air touch my face
    I remember hearing the sound

    Our eyes were blazing white
    And didn't stop even though
The cost would be my life
'Cause I'd already lost my soul

The clock was in a hurry
I tried to slow it down
Felt the heat touch my face
    I remember hearing the sound

It's her tears that haunt me
But it's my tears that bend the light
I'd give anything to change this ending
But I lost the price tonight

    Four minutes outside Denver
I'm a mile high and wandering lost
The only thing on my mind
Is the one I loved and lost

Wow this poem is amazing, it's deep and sad and expressing love you felt for someone. I love it and its a great read. Great job. =]

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
