    Flo the Habberdasher

    My name is Flo
    I'm the habberdasher dame
and notice all us habberdashers aren't quite all the same.
    Yes we sell men's clothing
and some buttons, and some thread
But try messin' with my paycheck and you'll wish that you were dead!
Now my part was little known in this "Canterbury Tale"
so I'll tell a small part and try my best not to trail...
T'was a fine spring day when I met my fellow party!
It was at the Tabard Inn, which is very warm and hearty.
The next day we left from that cozy little shack
and I tried to sell my trade...
    although it largely lacked.
So I thought back on my mother,
    who was quite the tart,
and I decided to add a little voice to my part!
    'Hey there friar.
    Looking for a rack?
These clothes are from the finest of potato sacks.'
The looks that they gave me were cautious to a scam
but the perfection of my trade,
    and a little ankle,
    and BAM!
I had my first sale on this nifty little trip!
And the clothes I made them lasted
not a tear nor a rip.
so if your in the market
for some shirsts made out of silk,
I'll sell 'em to you cheap
for just 5 punds, 2 pence, and milk!

Loved it! Thank you for making me smile. Liked the flow of the poem, very fluent.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
