Flight

The gilded cage is where

     she resides,
Yet leave her alone
   with bated breath
The bird will fly.

Neglecting her past,
     she hopes to begin
Her life anew,
     She cherishes freedom
The skies so blue.

Her fragile flight
    entrances her forward,
Knowing no restriction,
    dancing among the winds
Gliding with conviction.

LIKED YOU POEM HERE VERY MUCH........ ALTHOUGH I AM NOT SURE IT IS A BIRD YOU'RE WRITING ABOUT.........???

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
