    Dragon

I fell asleep in a meadow of lady slippers and green.
Time passed by so slowely, I awoke with the touch of a breeze.
to my unbelieveing eyes, flew down from heaven above
a sabortooth dragon with eyes as black as night.

He circled around the meadow to scared I was to move.
A strong putrescent odor of sulfur in the grove.
He took a little drink from the nearby stream
black smoke poured from his mouth, blood dripped from his scales clean.

I started to breath heavy, so scared I was next.
I guess the dragon heard me, as he rose his massive neck.
Sniffing to the stars he knew that I was there; Strangely he was startled
    cautious and with care.

He flexed his great wings, and shook free a breeze filled flap.
He roared a loud roar, smoke pouring from his nostrils
    my heart nearly stopped.
To my amazement the dragon just flew off.

I ran back to the house to tell my mother what I had seen.
But she just laughed out loud and said
    That's some story my dear
but dragons hold nothing to fear.
