Dormant Dreams

Dormant Dreams

In the recesses of thought
Lay our deepest dreams
Barely visited
And unoften seen.
Surrounded by darkness
Chained to our minds
Wanting to come forth
Freed and unconfined.
Deepest images lay dormant
Within this cranium can
Open the lid and
Discover the lovelies
Hidden within its mass.
Come home deepest dreams
Tell your heart those secrets please
Know that you are wide awake
And never will a dream, you forsake.

wow. you obviously have been working on this poem for quite sometime now. theres no way this was a quick write. i know you've got a lot more poems hidden behind that shell of yours. let it out and let people in. because i'm instantly hoooked in the way you ease through the rhythm and still captivate your audience. im in awe.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
