    Poem Commentary

    This dedicated to all the different religions that society tends not to recognize. Stand up and be heard! I am one of many ...

    Don't Judas Me

    A pentegram on the floor,
    Herbs and incense by the score,
    Candles brightly lit,
    A witch with quick wit.

    Tarot cards to tell your fate,
    There is nothing to hate;
    Book of Shadows loaded with spells,
    Releasing the spirits from there cells.

    The alter set up with the basic needs,
    Nothing to do with demon seeds;
    Peacefulness and calmness fills the air,
    So why do people stare?

    The craft was developed long ago,
    With  familiars such as a wolf or a crow;
    Still people do not understand,
    Hopefully I can help them with my hand.

    An old belief is lived out within us,
    So what is the fuss;
    We harm none,
    But we are judged by everyone.

    The Catholics believe in God and Mother Mary,
    But if we believe in a God and Goddess then it is Harrycarry;
    People tend to judge us for our way of thinking,
    But to me it seems like some denominations are sinking.

    You have your hippocrites that cuss.. lie ... and steal,
    Some are so judgemental that they can't feel;
    They try to fit in for society's sake,
    But only to end up being shallow and fake.

    So instead of these people judging me,
    They need to get their lives straight for the GOD to see;
    Tis more than just a one day deal,
    or a Sunday meal.

    This is my religion...my faith ... this is my life,
    So before they point the finger they best quit fornicating with their brethren's wife;
    And what about the children that are hurt by our trust worthy pastor or priest,
    This is to only to name a few at least.

    So don't Judas me ... don't chastize me,
    I can live with a clear mind;
    My faith which is Wicca ... My Motto is Ye Harm None,
    So just live me alone everyone!

    Im glad to see you standing up for us! Too many people don't understand something and judge it even with their lack of knowledge. Also I'm glad to see and open Wiccan though I now cannot be one. One day I will be and Wiccans will help the world see truth in all misunderstood religions :D well i hope to see more and keep in touch Thanks, K

    Impressive! To many people judge others without even understanding one another. It is a shame, because you can learn so much from someone else if you only open your eyes, heart, and mind.

    Tis always nice to meet a fellow Wiccan at all times! Thanks for the friendship again and feel free to stay in touch!

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
