Poem Commentary

I'm only like 13 and this is one of my first poems ive written and i hope you like it! :D

Death

I'Ve seen Death for the first time, it breaths at my window. Drops of black nothingness drips from his hallow palms. He watches me with cold eyes, he knows i have learned what it feels like to even be in the presence of him. Only really being in the presence is much worse, the crests of his lips tighten together the very second of my brittle breath draws him closer. The expression "Welcome death with open arms." comes to mind, but not even the soothing whisper of "Your going to be okay." Is enough. Once one cant hold on they let go, its not a choice. The crest of your soul is taken gently into his hands, the cold radiation still gives off warmth. Heaven or Hell your only two options, He whispers your fate in your obeying ear. You float off peaceful depending on where you are going, and you dont come back for second chances. Hallow be thy name, thy will be done in kingdom come as it it in Heaven. Forever, and ever, Amen.

That was very nicely expressed. Your phrasing was brilliant and the imagery nicely done. Good job. I enjoyed the read.

ood work it is easy to read and has a great story to it .....................

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
