Dear Love,

    Dear Love,

    Dear Love,

You are a double edged sword.  You are both a blessing and a curse.  You give so sweetly, one believes one is on top of cloud nine out of the sight of everything.  Only God Himself can see, and we are out of sight of anyone else.  For even with an Eagle's eyesight millions of lightyears away, even then couldn't the eagle eye spot us.  Oh Love, though how you cut deeply when you are angered!!  You are the deadliest of all pain.  You discourage, maim, hurt, and inflict punishment without even laying a hand on the physical.  For there are balms and bandages for the physical, but how do you mend a broken heart?  You drop one from cloud nine to the very depths of hell, and you force us to climb out of our misery! Climb up from our fall from grace without so much as a word! Force one to carry on, even though the heart has been torn in a million pieces and buried asunder. Oh Love thou oxymoron, how can you give so heartily and take in the like manner.  why do you build man so, only to tear him down again? What pleasure do you take in this.  People reverance you as a blessing, Nay but I say you should be revered as a curse as well!!  I love to hate you love, but I hate to love you! This cycle of birth ("love") and death (heart ache) is not a reincarnation, it is a torment!!  Like Sisyphus I am to push the rock up from the underworld on top of Mount Olympus, only to have it roll down the other side of the mountain and start over again, again, again, and again ceaselessly!

I like this poem. I just hate that I am the inspiration. I am sorry for all the pain I caused, but overjoyed that this was not how the story ended!

Do you remember 7-lover-spokenwordetry, Mr. Kahlil Gibran? ' Even as Love Crowns you, so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth, so he is for your pruning. Even as Love ascends to your height and caress your tenderest branches quivering in the sun, so shall Love descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth."...All part of the package, my dear! :)

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
