Darkly Shines MY Sun

Darkly Shines MY Sun

You never saw my tears or crying;
Never heard my screams at night.
You never sensed me slowly dying.
For you, my pain was out of sight.

You never looked behind my fake smiles;
Never cared enough to ask.
So I walked alone for miles and miles;
Overwhelmed by my Hellish task.

When you saw me bruised and burning
And viewed my broken, hollow shell
"Why the Hell are you not learning?!"
Ahh, that voice I know so well.

And so you display my sins so bright;
As I so slowly cock my gun.
And so, I end my pain this night
For so Darly Shines My Sun

feather, This poem's impact is like a curse to the one who has aggravated maybe tortured the poet. I liked the artistic value and damned the one who provoked. ginga

Oh J this is such a cry in the night. I feel the pain, the utter desolation. I could only hope to see your real smile. Wonderful piece, very moving.

Thank you so much. You are one of my best "fans"; although I don't see people as "fans" but as "friends". And you are definitely a true friend.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
