    dad

    why do i even try?
    knowing you dont care.
i know asking to see you is too much for you.
while i sit and wounder what i did wrong.
woundering if you think of me as much as i think of you?
i should have heard my family out.
instead i thought i new it all.
thought you was going to be here for me, and be my hero.
but now i know i was wrong.
and know how big of a low life you are.
i wish you new how much you hurt me, and realize i do have feelings.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
