    CLUTTER

Here we are amidst our complicated lives

    trying to find what's missing,

    within each other.

I can see what I’m looking for through your eyes,

and you can see what you need in mine.

    But,

    there is so much clutter

littering the road that leads to happiness.

Will we ever be able to find our way?

    And, if we get lost,

I’ve memorized the look in your eyes

when you make love to me,

    and it will sustain me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
