Children of Mine
Children of Mine
My children wore my clothes yesterday
And I let them
I let them
because it was my duty
to shelter
feed and protect them
I let them
because my love for them
like clothes
is suppose
to cover them
I let them
because I am he
and she is of me
and no matter how you compute that
it equals we
2gether
I let them
because she is my rain
and he is my sun
both I need to nourish me
so I can grow
I let them
because I want them 2 know
that distance is only a word
and being here for them is my verb
I let them
because they are the reflections of me
the one that I see when I look at them
My children wore my clothes yesterday
And I let them
My children wore my clothes yesterday
And I let them
I let them
because it was my duty
to shelter
feed and protect them
I let them
because my love for them
like clothes
is suppose
to cover them
I let them
because I am he
and she is of me
and no matter how you compute that
it equals we
2gether
I let them
because she is my rain
and he is my sun
both I need to nourish me
so I can grow
I let them
because I want them 2 know
that distance is only a word
and being here for them is my verb
I let them
because they are the reflections of me
the one that I see when I look at them
My children wore my clothes yesterday
And I let them
