    Can you hear

    Darkness has reared
    it's ugly face
    there's no one to notice
    because of its pace.
    Fast as lighting
    you must see
    no one is paying attention,
    evil just laughing
    at me.
    The one who lost
    I do hear, God will
    find me (seriously).
    There's someone
    crying in the
    wilderness (you listening to me).

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
