BY YOUR GRAVE

I DON'T WANT SOMEONE TO MISS
NOR DREAM ABOUT
SO HERE I AM
BY YOUR GRAVE
WAITING WITH A SILENT SO RARE
TELL ME THAT YOU'RE NEAR
IF I COULD BE WITH YOU
THEN HERE I WILL STAY
HALLOW AND VACANT DREAMS NO MORE
SHE TOUCHED MY HEART ONCE
HER FINGER PRINTS ARE THERE STILL
LULLABIES
CALM DOWN MY HEART
NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP
BY YOUR GRAVE
IN A SILENT SO RARE
WILL YOU BE HERE
WHEN I TAKE MY LAST BREATH

Very deep and questioning. I feel like yes she will be there if her fingerprints are still on his heart then she left a lasting impression. Write on....

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
