    Brown Eyes

Thoughts of you fill my head
And I’m drowning in a pool of confusion
Oh how I wish you could see
With every touch from your hand
    My body trembles with pleasure
Your kiss pulls in me as deep as the ocean
And my heart beats as fast as humming bird wings
    Brown Eyes
    I wish you could see
Just how much you mean to me
    How with every smile
    My heart dances
And my soul sings when we are together
Oh how I wish you could see
When you put your arms around me
My eyes gleam with the radiance of the afternoon sun
Your gentle voice is a lullaby to my ears
That calms me with waves of orange and gold
How I wish you could see
That I starve for your attention
Hungry like a pack of wolves
    And my serene world
Blackens with melancholy when I go unnoticed
To never again feel the sanctuary of your arms
    Passion in your kiss
    The exhilaration of your touch
Or to gaze into your brown eyes
    The sun would collapse
    And this beautiful rose
    Would wilt
    And die

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
